Fuel from H2: Ineratec Opens Europe's Largest e-Fuels Plant in Frankfurt

Karlsruhe-based company Ineratec has opened its power-to-liquid plant at the Frankfurt-Höchst industrial park. The facility is designed to produce 2,500 tons of e-fuels annually from CO₂ and hydrogen. According to the company, it is the world's largest plant of its kind. 70 million euros in funding support the project to decarbonize aviation and the chemical industry.

Pilot Project in the DRI Sector

In steel construction, thermally cut components must meet demanding requirements—especially when reaching preparation grade P3. While removing slag and burrs is relatively straightforward, tasks such as grinding narrow sides and rounding all edges with a 2 mm radius are considerably more challenging.
