AWS Schäfer has decades of experience in the development and manufacture of hydroforming machines, which are ideally suited for the production of complex geometries with very good forming and repeat accuracy. In hydroforming (IHU), a tube or hollow profile is formed by a liquid active medium in two tool engravings that are held against each other. This process is not only suitable for hollow forming, but also for sheet metal forming and is then referred to as external high pressure forming (AHF).

This process is not only suitable for forming pipe blanks, but is also used for sheet forming - a process known as external high-pressure forming.

Production of pipe bends by the cold forming process
AWS Schaefer has many years of experience in the development and manufacture of machines for the production of T-fittings and pipe bends. With our T-fitting machines, the pipe to be processed is pressed by internal pressure into an engraving with the T-fitting form. Your advantage: This cold forming process not only allows the production of complex geometries, but also saves you process steps and thus achieves cost advantages. This is because hot drawing and welding are no longer necessary thanks to our innovative technology. Welding seams are now a thing of the past. At the same time, with our T-fitting machines you can rely on maximum precision in the dimensions and shaping of your T-fittings. If required, we can also equip your T-fitting machines with tools for the production of pipe bends and transition pipes so that you can utilize the machines even better.

AWS Schäfer has many years of experience in the development and construction of machines used in the production of T-fittings and pipe elbows. Our T-fitting machines apply internal pressure to the pipe to be processed, pressing it into an engraved tool with the shape of the T-fitting. This has benefits for you: this cold-forming process is not only used to produce complex geometries, but also reduces the number of process steps, thus generating cost savings. Our innovative technology means hot drawing and welding are no longer required. And weld seams are history too. At the same time, our T-fitting machines provide you with the highest accuracy levels when sizing and forming your T-fittings. Where necessary, we will also provide your T-fitting machines with the tools you need to produce pipe elbows and reducers, thus enabling you to make even better use of your machine capacity.
