3D profile cutting technology with CAD/CAM-controlled CNC technology

From individual systems to complete pipe logistics - everything from a single source
MÜLLER OPLADEN is the internationally active specialist for thermal 3D profile cutting machines. With the MO Compact, MO Watts, MO Classic, MO Heavy-Duty and MO Robo series, a wide variety of tasks can be solved safely and efficiently. MÜLLER OPLADEN uses both plasma and oxyfuel cutting processes.

The machines of the MO Compact, MO Classic and MO Heavy-Duty series, which are primarily geared to tubes, can be programmed very quickly for the respective profiles to be cut online, offline or via CAD/CAM by means of comprehensive, macro-based software using already existing cutting macros.

The machines of the MO Robo series, which are primarily designed for the production of steel beams, have a freely programmable software architecture that enables the independent generation of the profiles to be cut offline with the integration of CAD/CAM systems.

The CNC axes of a pipe profile cutting machine are composed as follows:

Rotation of the workpiece in the chuck (Y-axis)
Longitudinal movement of the cutting head along the workpiece axis (X axis)
Pendulum movement of the cutting head (B axis)
Rotation of the cutting head (C-axis)
Height adjustment of the cutting head by a measuring system in case of surface deviations on the workpiece (Z-axis)
Control of the torch distance as a function of the cutting torch inclination angle during the cutting process (W axis)
Transverse movement of the cutting head offset 90° to the workpiece axis (V-axis)

Circular seam welding systems

Efficient production technology for reliable welding results
MÜLLER OPLADEN offers the circumferential welding devices for different applications - for example for MIG/MAG welding of round tubes and flanges or with 2 synchronized welding heads for plasma fine-beam welding of heat exchanger plates. Together with a tank turning device and an automatic machine carrier from MÜLLER OPLADEN, systems for MAG welding of circumferential and longitudinal seams on cylindrical workpieces can also be realized.

Pipe flange welding plants for 6,000 mm pipe length

MÜLLER OPLADEN technology works efficiently with up to 4 welding heads
MÜLLER OPLADEN's pipe flange welding machines can be used to process slip-on flanges with pipes in a diameter range from 30 mm to 400 mm and pipe lengths up to 6,000 mm very efficiently. These machines allow simultaneous welding with 4 welding heads on both pipe ends - from inside and outside. Both simple welds and welds with layer offsets are possible (up to 7 layers). Welding is done with the MIG/MAG process.

3D profile cutting technology with CAD/CAM-controlled CNC equipment

Our thermal 3D profile cutting machines are available in the MO Compact, MO Classic, MO Heavy-Duty and MO Robo series. The machines of the MO Compact, MO Classic, MO Heavy-Duty series intended essentially for round pipes operate with macro-controlled software. This means that the machines can be quickly programmed online, offline or via CAD/CAM modules for the profiles to be cut with the aid of already available cutting macros.

The machines of the MO Robo series designed mainly for beams have a freely programmable software architecture that facilitates the autonomous generation of the cutting profiles offline with the use of CAD/CAM modules.

Plasma and oxy-fuel are available as cutting processes. The main differences between the various series can be seen from the table on the opposite page.

The CNC axes are as follows:

MÜLLER OPLADEN targets its circumferential seam welding fixtures at a variety of applications, e.g. the MIG/MAG welding of round pipes and flanges or, with 2 synchronized welding heads, for the plasma fine jet welding of heat exchanger panels. Together with a roller bed and column & boom from MÜLLER OPLADEN, units for the MAG welding of circumferential and longitudinal seams on cylindrical workpieces are also conceivable.
