Tube cut-off machine MDC20-TUCM

The range of tube cut-off machines consists of the MDC10 TUCM, MDC20 TUCM and MDC30 TUCM models. Chipless orbital cut-off technology as opposed to saw cutting, avoid the chips, and so prevent material losses and the need for tube washing. It significantly reduces cycle times. In order to procure a perfectly controlled cut, two stages are required: first, the cutting wheel penetrates to 95% of the thickness of the tube; next, lateral traction is provided by means of a pulling station. Depending on the power source applied (pneumatic or hydraulic), the diameter reduction can be close to zero. In many cases, it is no longer necessary to deburr the tube ends before bending operations with the mandrel. All the advantages of this technology are enhanced by the powerful devices installed on RAVNI tube cuts, including digital belt-drive feed systems enabling speeds of 180m/min with an accuracy of ± 0.2mm.

To meet the needs of the most demanding customers, quick-change tool systems have been developed (belts, jaws, cutting tools, straighteners). These machines are used in the automotive sector (brake tube, diesel, air conditioning), aeronautics, heat exchangers, etc. The highly modular design of the RAVNI cutters and straighteners supports customisation through, for example, the integration of deburring, marking and laser or ultrasound control machines. Ravni has also developped a range of chipless orbital cutting machines (MC20 TUCM andMC30 TUCM) for tubes in bars.

Slitting saw cutting machine MDC30-TUFS

Model MDC30-TUFS
The MDC10 TUFS, MDC20 TUFS, MDC30 TUFS machines are sawing lines from coil while the MC10 TUFS and MC30 TUFS machines are sawing lines from straighten tubes. The saw cut gives excellent
geometry at the extremity of the tube. All these machines offer great versatility, in terms of diameter (from 2 to 45 mm) and thickness (from 0.1mm), and as they do in materials (copper, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, …), thanks to the digitisation of the descent of the saw. To meet the needs of the most demanding customers, quick-change tool systems have been developed (belts, feeding gripper, clamping jaws, straighteners). These machines are used in the automotive, aerospace, heat exchanger sectors, etc.

On MDC models, the feeding of the tube is driven by a couple of belts. For special applications, straightening can be done with a rotary straightener and a cut on the fly (electronic control). On models
type MC, progress of the tube is managed by an electric gripper which minimises the scrap. Upstream of the machine, a bar loader provides autonomy.

Associated with Mr Jean Vialette, Etienne RAVNI, father of the current leaders, has deployed his ingenuity and his innate sense of commerce to develop a range of straightening and cutting machines.

Proof of the quality of machines, it’s often to still find in operation machines of the 70s.
