The time factor plays a decisive role in prefabrication, even with sawn fixed blanks made of steel sheets
Therefore, Naumann Stahl from Neuss stocks prehardened plates in the quality 42CrMo4 +QT in thicknesses from 20 to 200mm. The German-manufactured material is US-tested in the factory to EN 10160 S3/E4, sampled with notched bar impact tests and has a significantly more homogeneous microstructure than a subsequently quenched and tempered material
Since the subsequent heat treatment of the fixed blanks is not required, the delivery time is significantly reduced. The sawn flat steels can be produced up to 6000mm length with minimum tolerance deviation without edge hardening. "In combination with the newly acquired automatic sawing machine from KASTO, small quantities as well as larger series productions can be realized without any problems," Naumann Stahl explains.
