In mid-November, the energy service provider enercity launched its first own charging app "enercity easyGo", which is available free of charge in the Apple and Google app stores.
"The enercity easyGo app is an important building block in our overall concept for sustainable mobility", explains enercity CEO Dr. Susanna Zapreva. "We are now offering even more convenience when it comes to charging and are also supplying the green electricity for our own charging infrastructure. With the easyGo app, our customers have mobility in their pocket. They benefit from useful features and attractive charging tariffs at our numerous charging stations."
Shared account usage, battery status and charge card management
The app provides real-time information about available charging points and shows the applicable tariff at the selected location. Users can choose from over 100,000 charging points across Germany.
The app is also compatible with a wide range of electric vehicles. Users can easily access the battery status of their vehicle, even if it is not connected to a charging station. The app can also be used to manage multiple vehicles and charging cards in a single account. This enables a clear and concise separation of charging processes that are allocated to different cars or cards. Another function of easyGo is the integration of Google Maps. Users can access Streetview from Google Maps directly via the app to find their way around their destination.
Further development of the app for other European countries
The state capital of Hanover already has the best-developed public charging infrastructure of any major German city. Ten electric vehicles statistically share one charging point. A further major step in the development of the easyGo app is expected in 2024. It will then also be used in other European countries. From then on, the app could offer access to around 400,000 charging points in the European charging network.
