Global technology company Rosen, a provider of pipeline integrity solutions, has announced its accreditation by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) as the first pipeline integrity certification body to offer specialised certifications on the path to becoming a Pipeline Integrity Engineer (PIE).
Rosen has been committed to improving professional industry standards since 2017. This includes a number of initiatives such as the establishment of the Pipeline Industry Qualification Board, the development of the Competency Standards Manual, the implementation of training frameworks and the introduction of the Competence Club learning management system.
According to Rosen, the ANAB accreditation represents ‘a significant milestone and marks a culmination of these efforts - years of tireless commitment to identifying and refining processes, procedures and key industry standards’.
What is the objective of the project?
International players in the pipeline industry who participated in the project are committed to improving the safety and reliability of pipeline operations.
According to Rosen, around 50 experts provided important insights with their ‘contributions to standardisation, development and review of tests’. The beta test was also supported and carried out by more than 230 experts.
„We are delighted to have been named by ANAB as the first globally recognised certification body for pipeline integrity“, said Michelle Unger, Head of Education Systems and Services at ROSEN. „This accreditation is a testament to our consistent commitment to competency development and our dedication to advancing the field of pipeline integrity. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us on this journey.“
