The German Poppe + Potthoff Group (P+P), manufacturer of precision steel tubes from Werther (Westphalia), is opening a new plant in Badli (Haryana, India) together with the Indian company Lalbaba Engineering Limited under the name „Indian Precision Tubes“, as the company announced on 16 May. In future, the new site will produce primary materials for the manufacture of precision steel tubes. According to Poppe + Potthoff, the joint venture will open up new markets.
„By working together with our Indian partner, we can include innovative materials in our product range that were previously not available to us and were not covered by other market players“, explains Thorsten Ellersieck, Managing Director of Poppe + Potthoff Präzisionsstahlrohre GmbH.
The „expansion of the product portfolio“ represents an important step in the company's history and with the newly created joint venture, P+P now wants to „set a sustainable and innovative course“ to „further expand its position as a leading supplier of precision steel tubes for special applications“.
Lalbaba Engineering Limited, which operates modern production facilities in India, produces and supplies seamless steel tubes for use in various industries, including the railway, energy and construction industries.
