In order to increase customer proximity and ensure more efficient direct service, Cogne is intensifying its expansion strategy: the producer of stainless steel and nickel-based materials is expanding its sales activities across the entire country.
Cogne already supplies its customers through its sales offices in Neuss, Rudersberg a. d. Murr and Stuhr near Bremen. The employees at the locations supply stainless steel long products from production in Italy, Taiwan and Sweden.
New regional divisions
Product distribution to customers is accelerated by the new regional division into the North, South, West and the newly added East regions. From July 2024, sales staff in the East will offer personal support.
"We focus on maximum customer satisfaction. The expanded sales approach will enable Cogne to strengthen its presence in various regions of Germany and reach an even larger number of customers with personal service," says Bernd Grotenburg, Managing Director at Cogne.
Cogne employs a total of 37 people in Germany. Ten of them work in Rudersberg for the south, 15 in the head office in Neuss for the west and ten in Stuhr near Bremen for the north. Two new employees in Leipzig will soon be joining the team and will be responsible for the newly developed eastern region.
Customer proximity and shorter delivery times
By expanding its sales capacities, the stainless steel producer is pursuing the goal of increasing its customer and market proximity in Germany. Thanks to the geographical proximity, it can guarantee short delivery times and direct contacts on site. This not only enables faster product availability, but also increases the service level.
"The focus of the nationwide expansion is the provision of bar steel and bright steel at locations close to customers as well as services such as processing, sawing and certification of special acceptances, because in recent years we have noticed an increasing interest in steel products in the east," says Grotenburg.
Cogne strives to meet the needs of its customers as best as possible and to build a long-term partnership. After the initial start-up phase in the east, the area is to be expanded with its own new warehouse.
