On June 28, 2024, there was cause for celebration at the Gesellschaft für Wolfram Industrie: Managing Partners Marion Freifrau von Cetto and Sebastian Freiherr von Cetto accepted the Bavarian SME Award 2024 in Munich.
Since 2007, the award has been presented annually to a maximum of ten family-run or owner-managed companies that stand out for their outstanding entrepreneurial commitment to the Bavarian economy.
In addition to competitiveness and future viability on the international market, entrepreneurial resilience is one of the main assessment criteria. The only manufacturer of tungsten electrodes in the western hemisphere was recently able to demonstrate this by investing in its new company headquarters in Nußdorf (Chiemgau). The planning and construction of the modernized premises for production and administration extended from 2018 to 2023 - and thus right through the economic challenges of the corona pandemic. The jury also assessed the company's commitment to environmental protection and social issues as well as its attractiveness as an employer in the region.
“The Bavarian SME Award is a strong sign of quality and trust and confirms that we are on the right track. The recognition also promotes our internal team spirit and shows our employees that their commitment and hard work are appreciated,” says Sebastian Freiherr von Cetto.
