Industry leaders join forces: BUHLMANN acquires LISEGA

BUHLMANN Rohr-Fittings-Stahlhandel GmbH + Co KG, a trading company for steel pipes, pipe fittings, accessories and valves, is continuing its product diversification and acquiring all shares in LISEGA SE, a leading global supplier of industrial pipe support systems. The owner-managed family business from Zeven will become part of the owner-managed BUHLMANN Group, headquartered in Bremen, on 1 January 2024, subject to antitrust approval. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Through the acquisition, the globally active trading company is expanding its product portfolio to include pipe support systems and vibration control technology. In addition, BUHLMANN, which specialises in warehousing, is entering the in-house production segment by taking over the seven LISEGA production sites. The LISEGA Group will retain the same local and global structure as before.

Diversification of the portfolio and realisation of synergies

Jan-Oliver Buhlmann, Managing Director of the BUHLMANN Group, on the acquisition of the LISEGA Group: "We have been pursuing a strategy of inorganic growth for many years and are focussing on diversifying our portfolio. The acquisition of LISEGA is a ground-breaking step for us, not least because it is the first time we have integrated a manufacturing company. Hans-Herlof Hardtke, owner and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LISEGA SE, on the sale: "After 60 years, I have now organised my succession. My aim has always been to secure the future of LISEGA SE and at the same time to offer the employees a caring home after my departure. In BUHLMANN I have found the ideal buyer who fulfils these criteria in the best possible way. I wish Mr Buhlmann every success in the further expansion of the group."
