ArcelorMittal has been working with Getac in France since 2020. In addition to tablets, docking stations, vehicle power adapters and remote antennas attached directly to the machines are used for maintenance and production at the Dunkirk site in France.
For three years now, ArcelorMittal France has been using Getac's fully robust F110 and A140 tablets and accessories such as docking stations, chargers and remote antennas, as well as a comprehensive bumper-to-bumper guarantee that also covers accidental damage. Project monitoring by technical service ensures that the devices are always adapted to changing needs.
“The flexibility of Getac tablets is enormously advantageous in a tense operating environment. The interchangeability of the tablets between different running machines is very valuable. This allows us to react quickly to changing conditions on site and to use our resources better,” explains Sébastien Denisselle, Decarbo Digital Project Manager, ArcelorMittal France, Dunkirk.
F110 and A140 tablets
The fully robust F110 and A140 tablets are reliable and ideal for use in conveyor systems that are exposed to strong vibration, heat or dust, as well as for work with intensive screen use.
Model F110 Tablet offers ArcelorMittal effective work in difficult environments, especially thanks to large storage capacity, trouble-free security and fast connectivity for rapid data transfer. In the A140 model with its 14-inch display, the batteries can be swapped during operation to ensure uninterrupted work ("dual battery design").
“The tablets have significantly improved the usability of our slab handling systems and completely eliminated system-related network problems, as they can be perfectly connected to 4G/5G networks,” says Denisselle.
Stable connectivity ensures that work processes do not stop due to a lack of communication, which is particularly important in industrial production. The intuitive, user-friendly interface of the tablets makes it easier to find and use various applications and increases the efficiency of on-site teams. The convenient operation of the devices enables a quick, uncomplicated introduction and adoption of this technology.
“We are really proud to support such a large group like ArcelorMittal in the digital transformation and optimization of their working conditions,” says Jimmy Lin, Director Getac Technology France.
