The HydroHub is an initiative of TÜV NORD GROUP companies and has set itself the task of supporting industries, energy companies and municipalities with engineering, consulting and training on the subject of hydrogen.
Alexander Holle, Senior Consultant at DMT ENERGY ENGINEERS, has been the new head of the HydroHub since 1 April. Holle has been with the TÜV NORD GROUP since 2017 and was previously a Senior Consultant in the areas of mobility, innovation management and product development.
„By supporting the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy in an advisory and planning capacity, we are already making an essential contribution to the economy, society and the environment. I am looking forward to the new tasks with the HydroHub team and our large corporate network“, says Holle.
The hydrogen expert and Senior Consultant at DMT ENERGY ENGINEERS, Frank Koch, has also taken over the position of Technical Director of the HydroHub. Holle and Koch succeed Carsten Gelhard, who is now responsible for new tasks at TÜV NORD International.
HydroHub sets the course for the energy system of the future
The TÜV NORD GROUP offers support for companies and organisations in the hydrogen segment in the key areas of H2 readiness (new infrastructure), H2 second-life (retrofitting existing infrastructure), H2 import/export and H2 sustainability (sustainability assessments).
In 2021, the HydroHub was launched as an initiative by TÜV NORD GROUP companies as a central point of contact for customers. Its range of services includes group-wide consulting, engineering and training services.
Current projects focus on intelligent sector coupling, storage systems, site developments and H2 import strategies. Assessments of carrier substances are also carried out, such as a recent study on the use of ammonia for the World Energy Council Germany.
