SACO AEI Polymers, Inc.

SACO AEI Polymers Has a New Manufacturing Plant in Ramos Arizpe Mexico to Serve Latin America

SACO AEI Polymers has opened a new plant that will supply the Latin American region with a range of products, including cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) compounds. The multi-million-dollar, state-of-the-art facility is a 184,500 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. It was designed with a flexible layout and infrastructure to enable SACO AEI to produce many different types and quantities of specialty compounds, including customized grades.

The Ramos Arizpe facility is SACO AEI’s first dedicated plant in Latin America for producing XLPE compounds and related formulations for energy infrastructure and automotive wire & cable applications. Its strategic location in Mexico’s northern industrial zone, and its proximity to major industrial parks and transportation corridors, will enable supply chain optimization, reduce costs and logistical risks, and significantly shorten lead times for customers in Mexico, Brazil and other Latin American countries.

Another key advantage of this plant is its expansive footprint, which will allow SACO AEI to manufacture and store product inventory for same-day or next-day shipment. The large size of the facility accommodates extensive research & development activities and provides significant room for future expansion.

Designing the plant from scratch has allowed the company to build artificial intelligence (AI) into its information technology systems, and to broadly leverage advanced automation and Internet of Things devices in its operational technology, such as material handling systems. To support sustainability, SACO AEI installed energy-efficient compounding machinery and placed its electrical distribution systems within the building, instead of at remote locations, to facilitate the potential implementation of solar power.

This new plant will empower SACO AEI to improve service, supply and support for customers in Latin America, and to expand our traditional focus beyond North America and Europe. Adding significant capacity and capabilities in Mexico will enable SACO AEI to meet growing demand for our compounds from regional markets, particularly infrastructure, wire & cable, composites, automotive, energy, telecommunications and construction. The facility is a milestone in our global strategy, which is based on logistical optimization and long‑term operational resilience.

SACO AEI is actively expanding its manufacturing operations beyond the United States and United Kingdom. In addition to the Mexico facility, the company recently opened a compounding plant in Vapi, India.
