RALC Italia celebrates 35 years and looks toward the future
From that very first tube processing machine in 1990 to exports reaching 56 countries, 35 years have passed. Today, RALC Italia stands as an established company that has served over 4,000 customers, employs 40 highly specialized professionals across its plants in San Giorgio di Nogaro and Carlino, and generates an average annual turnover of 10 million euros.
RALC Italia is a cutting-edge company in the design, manufacturing, and digitalization of high-tech automatic industrial machines, specializing in the processing of tubes, sheet metal, and wire. Above all, it is a leader in creating customized solutions through unique and patented methods, allowing it to meet the specific needs of customers worldwide.
For the company’s 35th anniversary—founded and led by Andrea Lazzarini—and the 60th anniversary of its CONNI brand, acquired in 2011, a special day of discovery, dialogue, and celebration was held on Saturday, October 25. The event highlighted an industrial journey that combines experience, innovation, and a forward-looking vision. RALC Italia is indeed a pioneer in developing Industry 4.0 applications, boasting SMART FACTORY projects with leading international industries. For over 15 years, RALC Italia systems have been designed for the digital exchange of information to monitor production processes.
“Thirty-five years have flown by. I remember—I was 22 years old: it feels like yesterday, but it’s been a lifetime of experience and growth. In these 35 years,” explained founder and CEO Andrea Lazzarini, “we have never thought of the machine as a product, but as a vision: making our customers’ processes more efficient, safe, and sustainable. This spirit has guided our growth—innovating step by step without ever losing our connection to our roots and to the community that trusted us. Today, we celebrate an important milestone while already looking ahead: Industry 5.0 represents the natural evolution of our journey, where technology, digitalization, and people work in harmony to create personalized value for the customer. We will continue to invest in research, training, and new solutions, because the future of manufacturing is built this way—with vision, responsibility, and courage.”
The 35th anniversary celebration also provided an opportunity to look toward the future, marked by the presentation of six new prototype machines during a dedicated open day focused on innovation. RALC Italia develops and manufactures machine tools for processing precision mechanical components for a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical supply, nautical, cycling, and photography.
Attending the celebration were: Luca Ciriani, Minister for Relations with Parliament; Walter Rizzetto, President of the XI Committee (Public and Private Work) of the Chamber of Deputies; Alessia Miotto, National Vice President of Federmeccanica; Luigino Pozzo, President of Confindustria Udine; Mario Anzil, Vice President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region; Loris Bazzo, Mayor of Carlino; and Monsignor Luigino Schiff, Parish Priest of San Giorgio di Nogaro.
RALC S.n.c. was officially founded on September 13, 1990. At just 22 years old, Andrea Lazzarini, together with friends and colleagues Renzo Portinari, Loris Scolz, Carlo Dean, and the late Luciano Cavagnoli, embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure that would leave a lasting mark on the industrial machinery and automation sector. From that small group of young visionaries grew a company capable of conquering international markets.
Key milestones in RALC Italia’s journey include:
Among RALC Italia’s collaborations with local institutions is its ongoing partnership with the University of Udine. The company has participated since the very first edition of the Formula SAE – E Racing Team, a university project in which students design and build an electric race car.
RALC Italia has also supported the AeroUd group at the University of Udine in designing, constructing, and flying a radio-controlled aircraft—helping students develop technical and engineering skills. Additionally, RALC Italia has worked with the university on several research and development projects, including the creation of the Roto Smart cutting machine, developed through a joint initiative with the Friulian university.
