It is reported that Japan NIPPON STEEL & SUMITOMO METAL planned to restart cold heading steel wire plant capacity expansion project in China by June 2015.

The new expansion project will expect to increase annual capacity to 42,000 tons. Currently, Nippon has owned cold heading steel wire plant which name as Nippon Steel, special steel bar products.

(Suzhou) Limited (NBCChina) with annual production capacity of 7000 tonnes and it is located at Suzhou city in Jiangsu Province.

Meanwhile, NSSMC’s competitor Kobe steel owns two of cold heading steel wire joint-venture companies in China.

There are Shinko wire processing (Foshan) limited located in Foshan, Guangdong and another is located in Shinko special steel wire (Pinghu) company Limited respectively.
