KNIPEX and Swiss Steel Group become Green Steel Partners

KNIPEX, the world market leader in the manufacture of high-quality pliers for professional users, is entering into a cooperation with the Swiss Steel Group to make its production more sustainable.

Halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030

More than half of the greenhouse gas emissions of the pliers manufacturer are generated in the so-called Scope 3, which also includes the emissions of externally sourced raw materials. The largest share is for steel used in the production of pliers.

In addition to investments in modern plant technology and optimisation of production and logistics, KNIPEX is focusing on the use of climate-optimised raw materials to achieve its climate targets. This is where the long-standing partner, the Swiss Steel Group, was able to help. The emissions of their Green Steel product are approx. 98 % below the industry mix.
