Hulas Wire Industries has launched Hulas thermo mechanically treated (TMT) bars in the market. They are available in varied sizes ranging from 8 mm to 32 mm. TMT bars offer better corrosion resistance, superior welding strength, higher earthquake resistance, high bending capability and excellent ductability, said the company.

They are useful for building high-rise structures in the country, it added. Himanshu Golchha, director of the Hulas TMT bars division, said that they launched the product to cater to the country’s growing construction activities.

According to the company, Hulas has a capacity to manufacture 100,000 tonnes of TMT bars and more than 4,000 tonnes of structural steel annually at its plant located in Biratnagar.
