The FlexScan OTDR from AFL is suited for both beginners and professionals. This inexpensive measurement device has properties that are rather uncommon in this price class.
This includes the SmartAuto function that serves the OTDR data acquisition it is an automatic search with several, network-optimized settings. Also worthly of mention is the LinkMap display that shows all network configurations at a glance and the error detection that displays both, the position and cause of error.
FlexScan OTDRs make it possible even for inexperienced technicians to quickly and reliably troubleshoot errors or completely characterize optical networks. This pocket-sized OTDR has a touchscreen, laser source, optical power meter, and a red light source (VFL); it also offers wireless communication via Bluetooth and WiFi.
