According to industry statistics, in July, China exported 92992.84 tonnes of steel rope, representing an increase of 15.35% compared to the average level of 80615.11 tonnes during the first six month.

In January to July, China's exports of wire rod and its finished products hit 5919774.57 tonnes, increasing by 31.99% over the same period of last year; while the imports of that reached 396943.75 tonnes, an increase of 40.89% YoY. The total exports of steel wire attained at 576683.52 tonnes up 18.22% YoY; imports reached 48806.99 tonnes, up 14.84% YoY.

In the aspect of wire rod exports, common wire rod reached 13624.55 tonnes, down 16.08%; hot rolled stainless steel wire rod was 73819.21 tonnes, up 53.21%; hot rolled alloy wire rod was 5832330.81 tonnes, up 31.94%. As for the imports, common wire rod reached 247411.66 tonnes, an increase of 39.97%; stainless steel wire was 25962.93 tonnes, up 1.44%; alloy steel wire was 123569.15 tonnes down 57.15%, all compared to the same period of last year.

In the aspect of steel wire exports, common steel wire imports reached 909121.51 tonnes, up 10.42%; hot rolled stainless steel wire was 41453.14 tonnes up 16.24%; hot rolled alloy steel wire was 246805.06 tonnes, up 11.29%. As for the imports, common carbon steel wire was 48713.76 tonnes, up 7.12%; stainless steel wire was 11320.38 tonnes, up 6.59%; alloy steel imports amounted to 39593.73 tonnes, up 11.54%, all compared to the same period of last year.

In the aspect of wire cable exports, stranded wire cable met 561805.83 tonnes; other wire cable came to 14877.70 tonnes, down 49.21%. As for the imports, stranded wire cable attained at 43649.90 tonnes, up 13.69%; other wire cable came to 5157.09 tonnes, up 25.62%, all compared to the same period of last year.
